Rooted in Rhythm.

High in the Colorado mountains at 8,000 feet, Dapple Grey Farm is a return to something steady.

What began as a quiet remembering has become a long-term commitment — to the land, to honest work, and to a slower, more intentional way of living.

We grew up on small farms. Early mornings in barns. Raising animals. Learning that food is not convenient — it is cultivated. That seasons matter. That responsibility comes before comfort.

Modern life has pulled many away from that rhythm. For a time, we stepped away too. But the land has a way of calling you back.

These 47 acres are not just property. They are our future.

We are building Dapple Grey Farm slowly and deliberately -  tending animals, planting vegetables and herbs, keeping bees, crafting cottage goods, and preparing for a small-scale CSA rooted in stewardship and community.

Nothing here is rushed.  This place reminds us daily that growth takes time. Rest has purpose. Strength can be quiet.

This farm is not about perfection. It is about resilience. About cultivating health in our soil, in our bodies, and in our relationships.  In a culture that moves toward speed and convenience, we are choosing something different.

We are choosing rhythm.  We are grateful you’re here to walk it with us.

Meet Dawn & Trevor

Dapple Grey Farm is the dream of two people who have spent their lives serving others - and are now choosing to serve the land and their community in a different way.

Dawn spent more than three decades building and growing businesses in the professional world - leading teams, solving complex problems, and guiding organizations through change. Long before that, though, her beginnings on a farm and deep love of horses shaped something deeper: a deep sense of responsibility, grit, discipline, and a respect for honest work. Those early lessons never left; they simply evolved.

Trevor’s career was also service-driven. A firefighter, EMT, and nationally certified corporate dive rescue trainer who taught fire departments and government agencies across the U.S. His work required precision, calm leadership, and a deep respect for preparation and stewardship.  Trevor continues to serve locally through conservation board leadership.

People, service, and hard work have always been part of our lives.

Today, that looks a little different; our feet are on a path to create a life that is resilient and sustainable on this small-scale farm, rooted in community.

Dapple Grey Farm is not a departure from who we've been.

It's the next chapter of it.
